Waterloo Project Updates #4

I unfortunately dont have much progress to show for this week, because I am just starting the lighting process and I also had a busy week in my other classes. Anyways, here are some updated images of the models I showed last week, with UV's layed out and with applied textures.

Waterloo Project Update #3

I am learning a lot about working in a team on this project. I was supposed to be starting working on lights this week, but the heads of the project are not ready for me to start that process. So instead I am finding ways to divert my time and make my aspects of the project better. I am allowing myself to work on textures and develop them to a higher quality. Also, I started working on making the cabinetry throughout the kitchen. Here are some images of the cabinetry and some assorted other set pieces.

Here is a smaller detail of the cabinet handle:

The heads of the project seem to be very satisfied with my work. I believe with this post I am totally done with modeling, and will focus on finishing my textures this week, and wait for the go on lighting.

Waterloo Project Update #2

UV Layout is lengthier process than I thought it would be. Here is the oven with UV's laid out:

And since the UV's are laid out here is the starts to it's texture. It's very simple at the moment. I have to find out from the heads of the project how much detail they want in the textures.

Also, here is the UV layout in it's 2d form:

It is interesting how going through the UV layout and texturing process has made me realize some areas where I can make the modeling and topology better.

I plan to be fully finished with all my textures by next week, which would be a week ahead of a schedule I set up for myself, which gives me good time to get final feedback from the project leaders and get everything up to their standards.

Waterloo Project Update

Here is some of the progress I have made on the Waterloo project I have been working on.

This is the model of the oven, which is the most complex model I am making for the project. I am finished with the modeling, and in the midst of unfolding all the UV's on this model. You may notice the fish on the front of the oven and on the back display. This is because the plot of the story revolves around a fish.

Here are some other smaller models I have created for the project. Their UV's are already unwrapped, as seen here:

By this time next week, I will have a few more models, all of which will be unwrapped, and in the beginning of the texturing process.
